The 2023 Rugby Oceania U20 Championship gets underway this afternoon on the iconic Sunshine Coast in Australia, Tuesday 5 July 2023, at 5pm (local time) when New Zealand vs Argentina in the opening match before hosts Australia vs Fiji.

The 2023 Oceania Rugby Under 20s will be the sixth edition of the Oceania Rugby Junior Championship. An invitation was extended to Argentina to play in the Championship tournament for the first time, joining Fiji, New Zealand, and hosts Australia for the three-round tournament at Sunshine Coast Stadium in Kawana Waters, Queensland, Australia.

Round 1 – Friday 1 July
5pm – New Zealand v Fiji
7pm – Australia v Argentina

It will be the first time in two years any of the regional under 20 teams have met and New Zealand, 5-time champions, will be looking to reclaim the title they lost to Australia in 2019 while Fiji and Argentina will be hoping to cause an upset and claim the title for the first time.
