Eight provincial teams will compete in the ANZ Marama Championship, the Women’s Tier 1 competition, on a weekly home-and-away basis in a round-robin style leading up to the semifinals and final. The Cevuga, or ginger flower, in full bloom is symbolized by the Marama Championship emblem, signifying how athletes are excelling in their craft.
The Marama Championship features a brand identity that is inclusive, celebrates diversity, and represents ambition. The Marama Championship will now be sponsored by ANZ Fiji for the ensuing three years. This marks a significant milestone for Fijian women’s rugby.
There is now an obvious route for any Fijian girls who want to play rugby.
