The Blues will be coming off a trip of Japan and Head Coach Vern Cotter stated that having an extended preseason gives the team more vital playing time before the 2017 DHL Super Rugby Pacific season begins on February 24 in Northland against the Fijian Drua.
Going home will allow us to continue honing our game frameworks, combinations, and Blues-style rugby. This game is essential to our preparation for the first-round match against the Drua in Whangarei, where we need to start strong,” Cotter stated.
We’re inviting families to come enjoy the sun, mingle with the players and take in our welcoming club atmosphere. This is a fantastic opportunity for Club Rugby and Super Rugby to come together.
