The Munster squad has been announced for this Saturday’s 5.30 p.m. Investec Champions Cup matchup at Thomond Park versus Bayonne. Six changes have been made to the starting lineup following the Glasgow Warriors victory at Musgrave Park last week, with Tadhg Beirne serving as captain.

The team consists of three Academy players, with Shay McCarthy, a first-year winger, starting in his first Champions Cup.

Additionally joining the side are Rory Scannell, Conor Murray, Scott Buckley, John Ryan, and Fineen Wycherley.

For Munster, Alex Nankivell makes his Champions Cup debut, Tom Ahern starts his first Champions Cup, while Calvin Nash starts at full-back for the first time.

Complete-back McCarthy and Seán O’Brien, who is playing in his first Champions Cup for Nash, are the wingers that join him in the back three.
