Munster Rugby and the Crusaders will play a world-first “Clash of Champions” match that promises to make history in 2024 February 3 at 5 p.m. The New Zealand team defeated the Chiefs 25–20 on Saturday in Waikato to win the Super Rugby Pacific title for the seventh time in a row.

It will be the first-ever meeting between the defending URC and Super Rugby champions after Munster’s recent URC victory in Cape Town.

Rob Penney, the former head coach of Munster has already been confirmed as the Crusaders’ new head coach starting in 2024. As part of their preseason campaign the team will travel abroad for the first time to play Bristol Bears and Munster.
