HSBC SVNS Perth
That’s just what the HSBC SVNS is, and it’s coming to Perth for the long weekend of January 26, 2024.
The world’s top male and female rugby sevens teams compete in fast-paced games in the new World Rugby Sevens Series (formally named HSBC SVNS), which consists of eight global legs, including the Perth matches.
In addition to the top-notch entertainment, there will be sundowners at the Bathers Beach Club, a party stand, food stalls, and live music all day. There will also be a strong party/festival ambiance, and participants are invited to dress in costume.
The top twelve international teams, both male and female, will spend the long weekend in Perth. In addition to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics female gold medalists, New Zealand is the current HSBC SVNS global champion in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Australia’s women’s team finished second in the past series behind New Zealand and their men’s team won the series in 2022. Their standout player was Maddison Levi, who scored 58 tries.
