Super Rugby Recape

In their last game before the playoffs, the Blues defeated the Highlanders 16–9 tonight at Eden Park. With victories from the Chiefs, Highlanders, Blues, and Hurricanes, the Super Rugby Pacific season has begun.

Aaron Smith, the halfback, was probably playing his last Super Rugby game after the Highlanders lost; he had played 185 Super matches overall.

The Blues welcomed back suspended captain Dalton Papali’i, and even though they defeated the Hurricanes handily last week to solidify their third-place standing, they still had to put on a strong 80-minute display.

The Hurricanes and Highlanders in Wellington, New Zealand, will conclude the final round for a side headquartered in the country on June 1.

This is the season-long schedule and time for every game between the teams headquartered in New Zealand. All times are NZT, with home teams listed first.
