Crusaders V Munster ‘Clash of Champions’ Preview

The defending URC and Super Rugby champions will play each other for the first time ever.

On Saturday, February 3 at 5 p.m., Munster Rugby and the Crusaders will play a world-first “Clash of Champions” game in 2024, making history.

It will be the first-ever meeting between the defending URC and Super Rugby champions after Munster’s recent URC victory in Cape Town.

The New Zealand team defeated the Chiefs 25–20 on Saturday in Waikato to win the Super Rugby Pacific Championship for the seventh time in a row. With 14 titles under their belt, they are the most successful team in the competition’s history and are well-known throughout the globe for their track record of brilliance and achievement.

Rob Penney, the former head coach of Munster, has already been appointed as the Crusaders’ next head coach starting in 2024. As part of their preseason campaign, the team will go abroad for the first time to play Bristol Bears and Munster.

Crusaders v Munster Next Game

A significant event in the intricate history of the Crusaders occurs today. This morning, the squad took a plane to England and Ireland in preparation for taking on the Northern Tour, a brand-new and challenging task.

At Bristol, England’s Ashton Gate Stadium on Friday, February 9 (Saturday, February 10 NZ Time), the Crusaders take on the Bristol Bears.

Since their 19-19 draw with the Stormers in Cape Town during Round 14 of the 2019 campaign, this will be the team’s first game outside of Australia and Fiji.
