the first time The British & Irish Lions will play in Ireland

The British & Irish Lions will play in Ireland for the first time, and this game will help the team get ready for their tour of Australia in 2025.

This game comes after the victorious 1888 Cup encounter between the Lions and Japan in Edinburgh, which was played in advance of the 2021 Tour of South Africa. The Lions won that famous match 28–10.

In addition, the game provides supporters with a chance to witness the Lions in action and wish the team farewell before they travel to Australia. The game will be televised live on Sky Sports and terrestrial television, with specifics to be published soon, for those who are unable to attend.

The Lions came back to Argentina in 1927 and 1936 after their initial tour in 1910. The teams’ most recent meeting, which took place in Cardiff, Wales, on home turf in 2005, ended in a 25–25 tie.

In March 2024, tickets for the match will go on sale, starting at €40. Tickets will be distributed through a number of channels, such as the Lions Rugby Club, Ticketmaster.ie, and the IRFU.
