2024 Connacht vs Munster Rugby: Connacht name team to face Munster in URC

The Munster will play Connacht in the URC Interpro derby on New Year’s Day at The Sportsground at 3pm has been announced. Hooker Eoghan Clarke makes his debut for Munster, with seven players and one positional change from the team that played Leinster four days prior.

With Fineen Wycherley back from a shoulder injury, Tadhg Beirne takes over as captain of the team. Academy out-half Tony Butler, Conor Murray, Rory Scannell, and Jeremy Loughman are also included in the starting lineup.

Fortunately, TG4 will be broadcasting live coverage of the Interpro match at the Sportsground despite it being entirely sold out.

“Every interpro is a massive occasion, but a sold-out Sportsground on New Year’s Day will make the game even more special for the 23 we have picked to represent us this week,” head coach Pete Wilkins stated in a statement prior to the game.

Because there is anticipated to be a sell-out audience, fans are urged to arrive early and to enter the stadium only with a valid ticket. Opened gates will be at 1:30 p.m.
