The inaugural sporting event to take place at the Pacific Games 2023 (PG23) National Stadium is Rugby League Nines 9s. The Sports Schedule for the Pacific Games 2023 (Sol2023) was just revealed, and it states this. Competitions for the sport, also known as nines, will begin on Monday, November 20, one day following the official opening of the 17th Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Rugby League Nines 9s

Rugby League 9s begins at 3pm on Monday, November 20, at the National Stadium with a women’s match between Cook Islands and Solomon Islands. It runs until Wednesday, November 22, with medal matches that afternoon from 5pm (local time). The competition ends on Wednesday, November 22, after three days.

At this Games Venue, in addition to the Official Opening and Closing Ceremonies, three more sporting events will take place. Football, rugby 7s, and athletics are a few of them.

Five more sports are scheduled to start in advance of the Opening Ceremony on November 19th, according to the Sports Schedule. Basketball, football, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball are a few of them.

On Monday, November 20, Rugby League 9s kicks off at 3 p.m. at the National
