In the first of two 2024 Rugby Championship games between the nations in New Zealand, New Zealand takes on Argentina in Wellington. The Rugby World Cup cycle opener on August 10th is not like previous editions. Los Pumas defeated the All Blacks twice in the previous cycle, marking their first-ever victory against them.
The teams’ most recent encounter took place during the Rugby World Cup 2023 Semi Finals. The victory advanced the All Blacks to the championship game. That evening in Paris, France, the performance did not sit well with Los Pumas.
Numerous players from both teams in the semifinal match in Paris are returning, but they report to new coaches. Ian Foster was succeeded by Scott Robertson.
