Despite his recovery from a hamstring injury, the tighthead prop has not been able to push his way into a crowded Rebels pack that includes Taniela Tupou, a former Red and fellow Wallabies front-rower.

Sef Fa’agase, a player for the Queensland Reds, was given a four-week ban and an HIA after a brutal head clash during his team’s victory over the Chiefs in Brisbane.

Queensland Reds versus Melbourne Rebels in Round 4

For their Super Rugby Pacific Round Four matchup against the Melbourne Rebels on Friday night, the Queensland Reds have made two alterations to their starting lineup.

At Melbourne’s AAMI Park, Harry McLaughlin-Phillips will start at flyhalf, with Tom Lynagh moving to the bench to play a finisher’s role. The Reds have also made a change in the front row after SANZAAR Judicial Committee on Tuesday night handed prop Sef Fa’agase a four-week punishment.

Peni Ravai, a seasoned international player from Fiji, starts as a prop against the Rebels. Furthermore, there are two changes in the reserves: Wallaby Jordan Petaia returns after missing one game due to an HIA in Round Two, while prop George Blake strengthens the front-row stocks.

Reds announce side to take on Rebels in Melbourne

When the Queensland Reds play the Melbourne Rebels at AAMI Park this Saturday in the Harvey Norman Super Rugby Pacific Round 4 match, Hunter Paisami and Jordan Petaia will be back in the starting lineup.

Three changes have been made to the Reds starting lineup: Paisami, Petaia, and Kalani Thomas, who will be starting at scrumhalf for the sixth time in his career.

While Phransis Sula-Siaosi, a prop who made his debut for Queensland on the Tour of Japan last year, may play in his first Super Rugby match, Harry Wilson will commemorate his 50th Queensland cap.

The Rebels have been impressive so far this season,” head coach Brad Thorn stated. We anticipate a fierce competition in Melbourne.
