All Blacks boss Scott Robertson has named his team to face Ireland v New Zealand at the Aviva Stadium in the Autumn Nations Cup on Friday evening.
Ahead of Friday night’s match between the two teams in Dublin, Andy Farrell has emphasised that Ireland is not out to exact revenge for their World Cup loss to New Zealand. Robertson only made two changes to the starting lineup from last weekend’s 22–24 victory over England at Twickenham Stadium.
After suffering concussions during the victory over England, world-class players Beauden Barrett and Codie Taylor were not selected and will not play in the Rugby World Cup quarterfinal replay against Ireland.

When they play again on Friday, Ireland captain Caelan Doris says he aims to apply the lessons learnt from their World Cup loss to New Zealand last year.
For the first time since the Ireland v New Zealand’ exciting quarterfinal victory in Paris last year, the teams will clash in Dublin. Doris claims he hasn’t given the World Cup match “too much” thought, although he did express a wish to perform better after not delivering his best at the Stade de France.
It’s all a part of the player’s and person’s journey and evolution, and I have no doubt that the game and some of the lessons I learnt from it will help me grow and develop even more.
I’m excited to incorporate that into George Bell and Stephen Perofeta were picked as replacements for Damian McKenzie and Asafo Aumua, who were promoted from the bench to the Ireland v New Zealand starting XV in their absence.
Taylor and Barrett join flankers Ethan Blackadder, Luke Jacobson, and Dalton Papali’i on an expanding list of injured players. Caleb Clarke, Mark Tele’a, and Will Jordan start at fullback in an unaltered back three. Mark Tele’a keeps his starting position after scoring two tries against England.
With Cortez Ratima now playing halfback with his Chiefs teammate McKenzie, Jordie Barrett and Rieko Ioane are once again the starting centres. Andy Farrell makes audacious decisions as star backs return and Tadhg Furlong is left out for Ireland’s match against the All Blacks.
After his man-of-the-match performance at Twickenham, the outstanding Wallace Sititi was once again picked as a blindside flanker, and Ardie Savea packs down at number eight. Sam Cane completes the loose trio.”action.”
