Freddie Owsley called into Scotland Men’s 7s squad for HSBC London Sevens tournaments

EDINBURGH flyer Freddie Owsley has been considered up to the Scotland Men’s 7s crew interestingly in front of the Toulouse and London legs of the HSBC World Sevens Series, which are being played over the course of the following two ends of the week.

The side will be captained Jamie Farndale, while Robbie Fergusson, who addressed Team GB at the deferred Tokyo Olympic Games, gets back to sevens obligation interestingly since including at Vancouver in 2020, after a spell with Glasgow Warriors. Individual Olympians Ross McCann and Alec Coombes are additionally in the crew.

“We are expecting to take the headway made in Vancouver and improve again against top-class resistance,” said lead trainer Ciaran Beattie. “We feel like we are getting better as time passes and there is a genuine bond in this youthful crew.

“Being able to welcome back Robbie Fergusson, a talented player we know and who holds the respect of his peers, is another boost for the trips to France and then Twickenham.”
